The DRV8881ERHRR is a bipolar stepper and brushed-DC motor driver with a 28-pin WQFN package with a thermal pad, measuring 5.50 mm by 3.50 mm. It operates from a 6.5-V to 45-V supply voltage and delivers up to 2.5-A peak current per H-bridge with proper PCB thermal management. The device features a Smart Tune current regulation mode, configurable off-time PWM chopping at 10, 20, or 30 μs, and multiple decay modes for motor control. It includes a 3.3-V, 10-mA LDO regulator, low-power sleep mode consuming 28 μA, and protection features such as undervoltage lockout, charge pump fault detection, overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown. Fault conditions are indicated via an nFAULT pin. It supports the PHASE/ENABLE control interface and operates from -40°C to 125°C.
