The DRV8434ERGER is a dual H-bridge motor driver with integrated current sense and smart tune technology, designed for driving bipolar stepper motors or dual bidirectional brushed-DC motors. It is packaged in a 24-pin VQFN with an exposed thermal pad, measuring 4.0 mm x 4.0 mm. The device operates from a 4.5-V to 48-V supply voltage and supports up to 4-A peak current per bridge for brushed motors and 2.5-A full-scale current for stepper motors. It features smart tune decay modes, PWM chopping with configurable off-times of 7, 16, 24, or 32 μs, and protection against undervoltage, overcurrent, and thermal shutdown.
