Minuteman’s® Explosion-Proof Wet/Dry Vacuum is ideal for picking up flammable liquids, finely pulverized dust, and other hazardous materials. Safe to use in the presence of a wide range of chemicals, this unit is rated explosion proof and dust ignition proof for Class I Group D and Class II Group F & G atmospheres (contact Terra for a full listing).
Easy to maintain and UL listed, this system’s components are grounded for protection against shocks during operation. The three-stage filtration system includes a cloth filter, high density impact filter, and ULPA filter (99.999% efficient at 0.12 microns) reducing the incidence of airborne dust that would be created by other cleaning methods. A built-in manometer displays the filter backpressure providing a way to monitor the efficiency of the ULPA filter and the pre-filters. In addition, the safety mechanism automatically shuts off the vacuum suction when the holding tank is filled with liquid to the 8-gallon (35.2 liters) mark.
The 15-gallon (66.1 liters) tank is fabricated of 22-gauge non-sparking stainless steel, and the front casters and rear wheels are made of static-conductive material to guard against shocks and explosions. Order explosion-proof tool kit separately. Not available in 220V.
