It operates in triplex mode (monitoring, playback, recording) and can also record synchronized audio on 4 channels at selectable resolutions. Each channel can independently record at variable rates helping reduce HDD storage. The digital video recorder includes a built-in front USB 2.0 slot, which can be used for internal HDD expansion or external back-up storage. It can also be used with a memory stick, adding speed and convenience to video clip downloads.
