TelephoneStuff.com Clauss Duplex Fiber Stripper DFS-3

Description
For stripping both the jacket and buffer coatings from duplex or simplex fiber optic cable. Two sets of jacket removal notches will remove jackets used on most fiber optic cable. Set of V-notches closest to the pivot of the tool will strip the various layers of buffer coatings used on more fiber optic cable. Features: - Strips both snglemode and multimode fiber - Set of notches in middle of the tool are used to remove the 3mm jacket - Set of notches at tip of tool are used to remove the 900 micron buffer coating while leaving on the underlying 250 micron buffer coating on Corning TBII type cable - The above two-step buffer stripping process allows the user to take longer strip lengths and creates much less stress on the fiber, thus minimizing the chance of damage and time consuming costly rework - For "mini-zip" duplex cable (2mm jacket with 600 micron buffer coating) use the set of notches at tip of tool to remove the 2mm jacket, and the set of V-notches at closest to the pivot of the tool to remove the 600 micron buffer coating down to the 125 micron fiber - New more, comfortable grips and ergonomic handles - Manufactured to precise tolerance to asssure clean, smooth strips - High grade carbon steel with black oxide finish - Special heat treating assures durability - Pre-set at the factory - no adjustments necessary - Latch to hold the tool closed when it is not in use - Made in the USA by Clauss
