The CONFORMat,Ñ¢ Body Pressure Measurement System from Tekscan, Inc. is designed to provide precise and reliable data on pressure distribution and Center of Force (CoF) for optimizing patient seating and positioning. The system features a flexible sensor that conforms to the contours of the body and support surfaces, ensuring accurate pressure measurements. It operates with a resolution of 0.5 sensels per cm¬= and includes 1,024 sensels over an active sensing area of 47.14 x 47.14 cm. The CONFORMat system is available in various configurations, including tethered, wireless, and datalogger options, with a maximum scanning rate of up to 100 Hz. The wireless unit can operate at distances up to 100 meters, while the tethered version connects via USB. The system is powered by a Li-Ion battery with a life of up to 2 hours for recording. The accompanying software provides real-time visualization of pressure distribution, allowing users to identify high-pressure areas and analyze data through various features, including 2D and 3D displays, side-by-side comparisons, and numerical assessments of pressure on individual sensels.
