SLE5300 is a two-component silicone elastomer which can be cured rapidly at elevated temperatures, especially in thin films. Contains no solvents so avoids any potential hazards associated with solvents, it requires no solvent disposal and therefore has much lower manufacturing costs. Its rapid cure time promotes a fast production rate with short cycle times and allows high capacity. Thanks to its pourable consistency, SLE5300 can be used with existing coating and extrusion equipment and has the ability to coat very delicate fabric substrates. Potential applications include fibreglass coating and other industrial and structural fabrics and sleeving. Typical applications include belting, tape, insulation, electrical sleeving and protective blankets for use at elevated temperatures.
