Momentive TSE399 is a clear, flowable silicone adhesive sealant designed for quick curing at room temperature. It is a one-component RTV that reacts with atmospheric moisture to form a soft dielectric silicone rubber, making it suitable for electrical and electronic applications. The product exhibits excellent adhesion to various substrates, including metals and most plastics, without the need for primers. With a tack-free time of approximately 10 minutes, TSE399 retains its elastomeric properties across a wide temperature range of -55¬8C to 200¬8C (-67¬8F to 392¬8F). It offers outstanding electrical insulation, dielectric strength of 20 kV/mm, and resistance to moisture, UV, ozone, and chemicals. The product is packaged in a convenient 82.8ml tube, allowing for easy application around complex assemblies. TSE399 meets the corrosion resistance requirements of MIL-A-46146A, although it does not fulfill the hydrolytic stability requirement of the same specification. Proper surface preparation is essential for optimal adhesion, and the product should be stored in original containers at temperatures between 5¬8C and 30¬8C (41¬8F and 86¬8F) for a warranty period of 12 months.
