Momentive RTV6424 is a one-component heat curable silicone adhesive sealant designed for bonding various substrates without the need for a primer. It is a white, paste-like material with a Shore A hardness of 30, offering a long working time at room temperature but requiring elevated temperatures for complete curing. The product exhibits excellent adhesion characteristics, achieving a tensile strength of 675 psi and an elongation of 550%. It also features low linear shrinkage and is non-corrosive to metals and sensitive substrates. With a dielectric strength of 500 volts/mil, RTV6424 is suitable for applications requiring good electrical insulation.
