Plexus™ MA420 is a high performance, flexible two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastic, metal and composite assemblies. Combined at a 10:1 ratio, it has a working time of 4 to 6 minutes and achieves 75% of ultimate strength in 15 to 18 minutes.
Plexus™ MA420 is the standard choice for composites bonding applications in the transportation industry, because it requires virtually no surface preparation. In addition, this product provides a unique combination of excellent fatigue endurance, outstanding impact resistance, and superior toughness.
Offers excellent chemical resistance to acids, bases, salt solutions and hydrocarbons, however it can be susceptible to polar solvents, strong acids and bases.
Plexus™ MA420 is recommended for ABS, Acrylics, FRP, Gelcoats, Steel, Carbon, PVC, Polyester, Styrenics, Urethanes and Vinyl Esters. This grade provides a flexible and strong bond with excellent heat resistance (paint bake).
