Techsil Limited BJB TC-89 Polyurethane Primer 1lb *Part A Only* BJPU14901

Description
BJB TC-89 Polyurethane Primer was developed to apply against cured urethane substrates for achieving good adhesion when applying another urethane product for painting or bonding applications. TC-89 has also proved to be a good adhesion promoter when casting polyurethanes against dissimilar substrates such as plastics or rubbers. Due to the hazardous nature of TC-89 B Techsil only import Part A via air freight. An alternative Part B will need be sourced separately, the recommendation is to combine with a basic solvent such as acetone, MEK and MPK.

Datasheet Summary

BJB TC-89 Polyurethane Primer (Part A) is designed for use on cured urethane substrates to enhance adhesion when applying additional urethane products for painting or bonding. It is recommended to apply the primer to clean, dry surfaces at a thickness of 1/10 mil or less, with spraying being the preferred application method. The primer typically becomes tack-free within 45 minutes to 1 hour at room temperature, and optimal adhesion is achieved when subsequent materials are applied between 45 and 60 minutes after application. Coverage is approximately 40 square feet per pint, yielding about ¬O mil dry thickness, though this may vary based on substrate absorption. The product has a specific gravity of 1.23 and a viscosity of 250 cps at 77¬8F (25¬8C). It should be stored at ambient temperatures between 65-80¬8F (18-27¬8C) and has a shelf life of 6 months when unopened. Safety precautions include using the primer in well-ventilated areas, wearing protective gloves and clothing, and ensuring eye protection is used. In case of skin or eye contact, immediate washing and flushing with water are advised.
