The FQB020ADC is a quarter-brick active EMC filter module designed to suppress conducted emissions and input voltage transients in DC-DC converter systems for MIL-COTS applications. It operates from 8.5 to 40 Vdc at up to 20 A and meets MIL-STD-461(F,G), MIL-STD-1275(D,E), RTCA/DO-160G, and MIL-STD-704 per MIL-HDBK-704-8. The module limits output voltage to 47 V during surges up to 174 V and provides 50 dB differential mode attenuation at 300 kHz and 30 dB common mode attenuation at 1 MHz. It supports standard (-S) and enhanced (-M) screening, with operating temperature ranges of -40°C to +115°C and -55°C to +115°C respectively. The flanged version measures 60.6 × 55.9 × 12.7 mm, and the non-flanged version measures 60.6 × 39 × 12.7 mm. It includes remote on/off, overcurrent protection, reverse polarity protection, and an open-collector fault signal. The product complies with IEC/UL/CSA/EN62368-1

The series takes advantage of TDK technologies to simplify system level compliance to MILSTD-461. The FQB filter modules reduce conducted emissions from dc-dc switching converters, and in addition, contains active suppression circuitry to block input voltage surges and transients. The FQB series simplifies system level compliance to MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275, RTCA/DO-160 and MIL-STD-704 per MIL-HDBK-704-8. The encapsulated rugged package design and a choice of baseplate options make the FQA and FQB modules suitable for use in a wide variety of harsh and demanding environments.
