The Taylor Dynamometer Closed Loop Cooling Center (CLCC) is designed to regulate the jacket water temperature and pressure of an engine being tested in an engine dynamometer test cell. The CLCC system utilizes a heat exchanger (liquid-to-liquid) and temperature sensor to control and monitor the jacket water temperature. The jacket water temperature and pressure are controlled to setpoints selected by the operator that are within the capabilities of the system. The Taylor Dynamometer Closed Loop Cooling Center also includes a coolant pump within the enclosure. This coolant pump is used to fill and empty the engine jacket water loop before and after testing. A coolant tank of suitable capacity is required to complete the system.
