The VN7004CLH is a single-channel high-side driver designed for automotive applications, utilizing proprietary VIPower® technology. It operates within a voltage range of 4 to 28 V and can handle a maximum transient supply voltage of 40 V. The device features a typical on-state resistance of 4 mOc and a current limitation of 135 A, making it suitable for driving high-power resistive and inductive loads. This driver is AEC-Q100 qualified, ensuring reliability in automotive environments. It includes advanced diagnostic functions such as thermal shutdown indication, OFF-state open-load detection, and output short to VCC detection. The VN7004CLH also incorporates protections against undervoltage, reverse battery, and electrostatic discharge. With a very low standby current of 0.5 µA, it is compatible with 3.0 V and 5 V CMOS outputs, making it versatile for various control systems. The device is particularly well-suited for applications involving smart power distribution, glow plugs, heating systems, DC motors, and relay replacements.
