The STSPIN820 is a stepper motor driver integrating a microstepping sequencer with up to 1/256th step resolution and two fully protected full-bridge power stages in a 24-lead TFQFPN 4 × 4 × 1.05 mm package with an exposed pad for thermal dissipation. It operates from a 7 V to 45 V supply voltage and supports a continuous output current of 1.5 A rms. The device features programmable OFF time via an external resistor, non-dissipative overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, undervoltage lockout, and thermal shutdown. The power stage has a typical combined HS + LS on-resistance of 1 Ω. It includes a standby low-consumption mode and a logic interface compatible with 5 V input levels.
