Insulation resistance input /output up to 10^13 Ω. Distance between input and output for highest safety requirements up to 14.5mm. Galvanic separation and minor coupling capacitance between input and output circuit. Analog & digital signal transfer is possible. Minor output delay times compared to relays. Long life due to non mechanical wear. Magnetic fields do not impact operation. A photo-diode makes for very short cycle times. Able to invert the output signal during transfer.
