The PAA piezo ceramic audio design sample kit from Sonitron includes four different piezo audio amplifiers and is ideal for experimenting with the included speaker. The kit consists of a SPS-6555-03 speaker built into a small plastic case, with four PAA amplifiers, PAA-LT3469-01, PAA-MAX9788-01, PAA-LM4960SQ-02, PAA-StepUpBTL-01.
The PAA-LT3469-01 amplifier is a piezo microactuator driver with boost regulator. From a 5 V or 12 V supply, it can drive outputs up to 33 V, and capacitive loads of 5 nF to 300 nF. An internal regulator generates a boosted supply voltage, and slew rate is limited by the maximum output current. This amplifier features high switching frequency and an internal Schottky diode. The PAA-LT3469-01 amplifier has a typical unloaded gain of 30000 and compact external components.
