The SI5320-H-BL is a precision clock multiplier IC designed for high-speed communication systems, including OC-192/OC-48 and 10 GbE applications. It operates with input clock frequencies ranging from 19 MHz to 622 MHz and provides selectable output clock frequencies of 19 MHz, 155 MHz, or 622 MHz. The device features ultra-low jitter generation, with a jitter specification as low as 0.3 ps RMS, ensuring high signal integrity. This clock multiplier utilizes Silicon Laboratories' DSPLL,Ñ¢ technology, which integrates all PLL functionality without the need for external loop filter components, simplifying design and reducing board space. It supports forward and reverse FEC clock scaling with selectable multiplication ratios of 255/238 or 238/255. The SI5320-H-BL operates from a single 3.3 V supply and includes features such as digital hold for loss of input clock and a loss-of-signal alarm output. Its compact 9x9 mm package makes it suitable for various applications, including SONET/SDH line cards, optical modules, core switches, digital cross connects, and terabit routers.
