The robust explosion proof head is constructed to mechanically resist the internal pressure generated by an ignition, preventing an explosion from spreading to the external environment.
It has a turndown of 10: 1, a technology that eliminates the need for several instruments of different ranges in stock, since with the turndown it is possible to re-calibrate the instrument on a scale of 10: 1 (Ex. A 40 bar Transmitter with turndown of 10: 1 can be re-calibrated to 4 bar).
With 5-digit multifunction LCD display, it allows the user to view the measured variable in PV (value of process), percentage and current in addition to having a permanent bargraph with real-time reading.
The STD96 transmitter provides 4 ... 20mA analog current signal, the following parameters can be directly reconfigured via three buttons: Decimal point, damping, display model, unit of measurement and a new measuring range via Zero / Span or remotely using Hart communication protocol. It uses piezoresistive cell technology in 316 stainless steel with silicone filling. For aggressive applications the STD98 models with thick capacitive ceramic cell or STD81 with fine piezoresistive ceramic cell. All STD transmitters can be rotated to a better desired position. The acrylic window on the head cover makes the display always visible.
