Dresser-Rand’s Gimpel® electro-hydraulic trip throttle valve (EHTTV) is a microprocessor-contr olled trip throttle valve with a self-contained electro-hydraulic actuator. Designed to prevent the catastrophic failure of steam turbines, the EHTTV stops the flow of steam to the turbine in less than 0.3 seconds, a closing force that is 4-10 times faster than typical latch-type valves. As a protection and safety device, Gimpel valves are designed and manufactured in accordance with rigorous industry specifications including the following: API 611 and 612 ASME / ANSI B16.34 and B16.5 NEMA SM 23/24 CEMARK / PED Certification CRN
