Description
Each miniTwin stick contains both the sender and receiver elements, each symmetrically mounted in one half of a housing and separated by a central synchronisation beam. The diagram shows two identical miniTwin units offset by 180° working as both sender and receiver, in a 3 pair format. Each miniTwin can be used as part of a stand-alone pair, as 2 pair or with the additional purchase of a double plug cascade cable as a cascade (3 pair) format. When cascading in 2 pair or 3 pair there are no blind spots and the miniTwin automatically configures which pair acts as the host and which as the guest. An additional cascade cable is needed for 3 pair configurations, use 701-2962 for miniTwin up to 540mm, or 701-2971 for miniTwin over 600mm, use these to replace the detachable M12 connection plug on the rear of the miniTwin with a 2 x M12 dual plug connector. Uniquely, the MiniTwin is both sender and receiver unit integrated in a single compact housing. Stand-alone and cascade use and can be mounted anywhere and in any orientation. Combine up to three miniTwin to create cascaded systems. No blind zones even when systems are cascaded in corner mounting. LED-guided start-up. LED indicators along the length of the device serve as a rapid alignment aid, status indicator and diagnostic tool. Intelligent configuration without software. System plug on the back of the miniTwin can be easily moved so the cable exit is facing upwards or downwards (or replaced with a 2-way plug for cascading 3 pairs). Cascading connections and integration with safety controller always use a 5 pin M12 standard plug. Simplified mounting brackets: O-Fix for flat mounting (optional extra for stand-alone use only), C-Fix for cascade structures around corners, C-Fix and L-Fix for vertical mounting.
