Valspar High Performance Architectural Coatings Polylure® 4000

Polylure® 4000 coatings are flexible polyesters systems for aluminum extrusions. These coatings are ideal for post forming applications such as RV components, windshield trim, custom van trims and some interior residential components such as trim and railings. Polylure 4000 coatings meet the physical and performance requirements of AAMA 2603, Voluntary Specification, Performance Requirements and Test Procedures for Pigmented Organic Coatings on Aluminum Extrusions and Panels. Polylure® 4000 coatings are designed for spray application. They can be custom designed for application by manual non-electrostatic, manual electrostatic and high speed rotary atomizers such as disks and bells. They are formulated for application to aluminum that has been properly cleaned and pretreated in accordance with technical specifications from Valspar. Polylure 4000 coatings are applied at 0.8 to 1.2 mils direct to properly cleaned and pretreated aluminum. For special applications, Polylure® 4000 may be applied at higher film builds.
