FIRETEX FX5090 Water-Based Thin-Film Intumescent Fire Protection Coating is designed to meet the highest peformance, aesthetic, and environmental demands of today’s commerical construction industry. It delivers a cost-effective passive fire protection solution for both interior and exterior environments and is rated to provide up to two hours of passive fire protection.
FX5090 can be applied at the job site, at a steel fabricator’s facility, or at a fire protection applicator’s shop. It offers fire protection across an extensive range of steel section sizes. It is designed for use on the interior and exterior of commerical buidings, institutions, parking garages, and is UL Listed (ASTM E-119) and UL Classified (UL CDXA and UL CDYD).
Sherwin-Williams’ latest generation water-based intumescent fire protection coating provides a highly competitive solution for the protection of structural steelwork. For exterior environments, FX5090 is suitable when topcoated with Pro-Industrial Waterbased Acrolon 100 Urethane. (Note: An epoxy seal coat is not required).
