1.Description IPS series inductive proximity switch is also named non-contact switch, or static position switch. The oscillator of the switch is consists of the coil and other elements. The inductive probe creates an alternating field when the oscillator. When metal target enters the field, the eddy current induced in the metal target, which will cause blocking of oscillator, or small oscillation. And the signal will be shaped, amplified and converted to electrical signal, which will drive the switch tube on and cut-off to realize the detection. It will create signal when the object approach the proximity switch without external force. IPS series inductive proximity switch has more functions, not just limited to the distance control and limit position protection. The proximity switch can be used for high speed counting, metal detection, speed measurement, level control, and components size measurement and used as contactless button, etc. 2.Features and Applications Features: (1. Applications: The target object for IPS series inductive proximity switch must be conductor. IPS series inductive proximity switch are widely used in many fields, such as light industrial machinery, packing machinery,metallurgi cal equipment, electrical equipment, textile machinery, etc. 3.Product Dimension (1. Avoid hitting, knocking and falling off during the transportation and using period. Use the insulating transformer, not the auto-transformer. (2. Although the sensing object is ferrous material, the nonferrous metal can also be detected within smaller detection distance (Brass 70%, Aluminum 40%). And the object thickness should be no less than 1mm and the size should be no less than the square of the inductive probe outer diameter. The installation air gap is 1-1.5mm. Please follow below drawing for minimum air gap when install towards the metal or on the metal object.
