The PR18-BC40DPO-E2 is a cylindrical diffuse reflection sensor designed for detecting non-metallic targets at an adjustable sensing distance of up to 40cm. It operates on a diffuse reflection principle using an infrared LED light source with a wavelength of 880nm. The sensor features a response time of less than 8.2ms and offers selectable output configurations including NPN and PNP in normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) modes. This sensor is constructed from nickel-copper alloy and has an IP67 protection rating, making it suitable for various industrial environments. It can operate within an ambient temperature range of -15,ÑÉ to +55,ÑÉ and humidity levels of 35-85% RH (non-condensing). The device supports a supply voltage of 10-30 VDC and includes built-in circuit protection against short-circuits, overloads, and reverse polarity.
