The SG01D-18 is a broadband silicon carbide (SiC) UV photodiode with an active area of 0.5 mm¬=, designed for detecting UVA, UVB, and UVC radiation. It features a TO18 hermetically sealed metal housing with two pins, one isolated and one grounded. The photodiode exhibits high stability and low dark current, with a typical dark current of 1.7 fA at a reverse bias of 1V. It can operate in a temperature range from -55¬8C to +170¬8C and has a peak responsivity at a wavelength of 280 nm. The device is capable of generating approximately 6500 nA of current under a peak radiation of 10 mW/cm¬=. The low noise characteristics of the SiC material allow for reliable measurements of low UV radiation intensities. An appropriate amplifier is recommended for optimal performance.
