Sepac, Inc. RFTC 375

Description
This SEPAC rotating field tooth clutch is designed to operate both dry and in oil. No bearings are used. Current is supplied to the magnet body coil through an electrical brush and slip ring. (Grounding is accomplished internally through the magnet body to the machine shaft.) OPERATION: When current is applied to the coil in the magnet body, a magnetic field is created which attracts the armature (sliding on the adapter) toward the magnet body. As the teeth engage, torque is transmitted. Springs between the armature and adapter assist in disengagement.
