Sepac, Inc. IHB 180

Description
SEPAC industrial holding brakes are used on any motor or drive shaft where remote control of braking is desired. OPERATION: When the coil is energized, spring pressure is overcome by the movement of the armature plate toward the magnet body, thus allowing the inner and outer asbestos lined discs to move on their respective splines and become free. The inner discs are splined to the shaft hub and rotate with it. A simple air gap and wear adjustment feature is standard. Faster transit times than those shown are possible with the use of special low voltage coils and momentary overenergization. The through shaft arrangement shown is standard
