This Model 500 Air Cleaner with Micro-Pleat Filters provides air filtration for applications such as welding, grinding, powder weighing, and dust collection. The Model 500 Air Cleaner provides up to 1,100 CFM of air volume and is built for heavy-duty fume extraction and air filtration. This system features four cleanable Micro-Pleat Series 1 Particulate Filters that offer the ability to clean the filters with compressed air without removing them from the unit’s chassis. The operator simply sprays compressed air into the filter media for cleansing while excess dust and waste fall into the internal dustpan, allowing for easy and clean debris removal. Other filter options include four HEPA noncleanable filters, four 42 lb disposable Activated Carbon Filters, and four 42 lb Specialty Blended Filter Media (acid gas, ammonia, aldehyde, and mercury). This unit includes a Magnehelic Gauge (MP1 and HEPA units only) to monitor the saturation of the filters. As the filters become saturated, the static pressure increases and the digital readout will display this increase in pressure. Once the pressure reaches a certain point, the filters will need to be cleaned. This portable system requires no exterior-ducting or makeup air. Heavy-duty locking casters and a variety of extraction arm options make this fume extractor a helpful solution for applications that require a powerful respiratory engineering control with maneuverability.
