The SeaLINK® 2165-OEM USB 2.0 serial I/O adapter offers an easy way to add 16 multi-interface serial ports to a single USB port in your OEM application . Each serial port is available on a standard DB9M connector and is individually configurable for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 . The electrical interface, echo suppression, line termination, and receive biasing for each serial port is set via convenient on-board DIP-switches . The adapter supports a wide range of standard and non-standard baud rates exceeding 921.6 Kbps on each port . The 2165-OEM serial adapter includes a high-retention USB Type B connector to help prevent accidental disconnection of the USB cable . On-board status LEDs display serial data activity, the board heartbeat, electrical interface selection and line termination state . The adapter requires 5 VDC external power, via a 2-pin Mini-Fit Jr. header connector on the board, and operates over a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +85C . Sealevel SeaCOM USB software drivers and utilities make installation and operation easy using Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems . After installing the software, simply power the 2165-OEM and connect it to an available USB port . The serial ports are recognized as standard COM ports by the host system enabling compatibility with legacy software . The adapter is RoHS compliant and meets the requirements of RoHS (2011/65/EU) directive.
