Ekinox-E is an ITAR Free Inertial Navigation System which accepts aiding data from external equipment.
It combines an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), runs an enhanced on-board Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) which fuses in real-time inertial data with aiding information for the best performance.
High performance for a cost-effective solution:
0.05° 3D Orientation over 360°
2 cm Position when connected to RTK GNSS
5 cm Real-time Auto Adjusting Heave
2.5 cm Delayed Heave
200 Hz Output Rate
>48h Internal Data Logger
Robust IP68 Aluminum Enclosure
Up to 4 simultaneously connected equipment:
Navigation: RTK GPS/GNSS
Heading: Dual Antenna GPS/GNSS, Magnetometer
Velocity: Odometer, DVL
Real-time data fusion with Aiding information
If inertial systems are often used as a stand-alone solution, their performance is greatly improved when coupled with aiding equipment. Ekinox-E has been designed to connect up to 4 external aiding systems. It directly fuses inertial data with external equipment information to provide the best performance.
Applications
Marine
Ekinox-E is a high accuracy and cost-effective inertial system which accepts aiding data from DVL and Dual antenna GPS. By offering in addition real-time adjusting heave on 4 monitoring points, NMEA protocol and Ethernet communication, Ekinox-E perfectly fits Marine applications such as ROV & AUV navigation, Hydrography, ship motion monitoring, etc. Ekinox sensors are compatible with all hydrographic software (Hypack, QPS, Teledyne PDS, etc.).
Land
If you already own an RTK GPS solution, a Dual Antenna GPS, or an Odometer, no need to invest again. Just connect your systems to the Ekinox-E, and it will be ready to provide accurate car’s position and trajectory at 200 Hz, even in GPS challenging environments. Whether you want to control an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), analyze car motion, georeference point clouds or images, the Ekinox-E offers every features needed for your project.
Aerospace
Ekinox-E provides Roll, Pitch, Yaw and can be easily connected to external GPS to deliver Position. With its robust IP68 enclosure and its extended dynamic temperature calibration (-40° to 75°C), Ekinox-E the ideal solution for aerospace applications such as Private Aircraft and Drone navigation, Flight Analysis, Avionics, etc.
Complementary Equipment and Software
Connection, Synchronization, and Positioning
The SplitBox provides a simplified interface for easy connection and synchronization with external equipment such as odometer, differential corrections, computers, or survey instruments. The SplitBox with integrated GNSS receiver additionally delivers navigation data with a large choice of positioning services (Marinestar, TerraStar, etc.).
Software Development Kit (SDK)
The Software Development Kit (SDK) is a very quick and easy way to evaluate SBG Systems products, and to record and export data in various formats. In just a few seconds, you start evaluating and configuring your device and integrate it in your system.
In the Starting box
Every industry has its own constraints. Our Sales Engineers will work with you to recommend the right solution for your project. The selected inertial sensor will be shipped with a quick start guide and its own calibration report. A robust and waterproof transport case is fitted to contain other ordered items such as cables, GNSS antennas, etc.
