Sartocon® Slice Holder is available for a maximum of three or five Sartocon® Slice cassettes (0.1 - 0.3/0.5m²) and closes the gap between the small scale Sartocon® Slice 200 holding device (0.02 - 0.04m²) and the Sartocon® 2 Plus production scale holder (0.06 - 7m²). The Sartocon® slice system covers applications of up to 50 l initial volume. This together with a minimum working volume of approx. 300 ml makes it a universal tool for all crossflow applications in process development and small scale production. The upper tie rod can be removed for cassette installation. Changing of cassettes is easy because no gaskets have to be placed between the cassettes and the clamping plates. The crossflow system is completely self draining due to the vertical orientation of the cassettes in the holding device. Thermal sterilisation in an autoclave or inline steaming even with cassettes installed is possible. For this purpose the installation of a pressure compensation tool is necessary. The hydrodynamic flow path of the Sartocon® slice cassettes and the materials used for Sartocon® Slice 200 and Sartocon production cassettes are identical. This uniform design within the Sartocon® family provides the user with predictable performance for up-scale und down-scale studies. The SartoJet is a powerful 4-piston diaphragm pump for all biopharmaceutical down stream applications from the laboratory right up to small scale production. Optimal for shear sensitive products. Sartocon® Slice microfiltration or ultrafiltration sets supply up to five Slice Cassettes with 0.1m2 filter area each. All pressurized parts of the system are hard piped and can be connected directly to the SartoJet pump head. Also available: Ultrafiltration Set for Sartocon® 2 Plus Ultrafiltration set with Sartocon® 2 Plus cassette holding device for installation of up to 10 Sartocon® cassettes.
