The APS12625 is a 2D Hall-effect speed and direction sensor IC optimized for use with ring magnets, featuring planar and vertical Hall elements for quadrature-independent sensing in XY, ZX, or ZY orientations. It operates from 2.8 to 5.5 V, provides speed and direction outputs, and is qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 0 for operation up to 175°C junction temperature. The device is housed in a 5-pin SOT23-W (LH) surface-mount package, offers output short-circuit protection, and supports power-on state configuration via the -P option. Thermal resistance is 124°C/W on a 4-layer JEDEC-compliant board.
