Saint-Gobain powders deliver the best spray performance and value for all types of applications involving wear and corrosion resistance, thermal insulation, and electrical insulation. These powders are used successfully throughout the aerospace, automotive, printing, textile, chemical and wear-resistance industries. Powders are manufactured using several different techniques, including agglomeration, sintering, fusion and plasma densification. Customers parts have longer life, operate at higher temperatures, produce lower emission, yield high dielectric strength and are ultimately more economical in the marketplace.
Saint-Gobain’s #233 & #233PW crushed cream-colored powders are created using a special fusion process that gives the particles an open structure. These coatings act as an excellent thermal barrier or insulator, providing excellent resistance to thermal shock & particle erosion at temperatures up to 1500° C. The #233/233PW powders are ideal for combustion liners and after-burner parts in jet turbines.
The 233 powder is approved for PW 1333, A50TF155 class A and meets the specifications for EMS 52432 type XXVI and Rolls Royce 9507/21.
Saint-Gobain Coating Solutions manufactures a range of zirconia-based thermal spray powders for thermal barrier coatings with excellent wear resistant properties for high temperature applications such as gas turbines & combustion engines.
