Spinel Thermal Spray Powder #170
Saint-Gobain’s #170 is a white fused magnesium aluminate powder that is blocky in shape. This powder produces high thermal shock resistant coatings that are suitable for the re-surfacing of parts. These coatings resist wetting by liquid aluminum, making #170 powders ideal for resurfacing molds, ladles, ladle plugs, ladle lips & other furnace parts. The product is also used for coating oxygen sensors to protect against gas erosion with controlled permeability. Saint-Gobain Coating Solutions offers Spinel thermal spray powders that yield coatings with excellent thermal shock resistance. These coatings provide exceptional protection against gas erosion, and are ideal for oxygen sensors, re-surfacing molds, ladle parts & other furnace components.
