The MXD1210CWE+ is a nonvolatile RAM controller designed to convert standard volatile CMOS RAM into nonvolatile memory. It operates with a very low power consumption, featuring a quiescent current of 230¬µA in operating mode and only 2nA in battery backup mode. The device includes power supply monitoring to provide write protection for the RAM during marginal power conditions, automatically switching to battery backup when necessary. This controller supports a battery voltage range of 2.0V to 4.0V and offers options for power-fail detection at 5% or 10%. It can test battery condition during power-up and includes features such as a low forward-voltage drop on the VCC supply switch and an optional redundant battery. The MXD1210CWE+ is available in a 16-pin wide SO package and is suitable for applications in microprocessor systems, computers, and embedded systems. The operating temperature range for this part is from 0¬8C to +70¬8C.
