The MC14517BCPG is a dual 64-bit static shift register designed for various applications, including time delay circuits and temporary memory storage. Each of the two identical registers operates independently, featuring separate clock and write enable inputs. Data can be entered into the register by clocking, regardless of the write enable state, allowing for efficient loading of 64 bits in just 16 clock periods. The device includes outputs at bits 16, 32, 48, and 64, with a 3-state output at the 64th bit, making it suitable for bus logic applications. This shift register operates over a supply voltage range of 3.0 Vdc to 18 Vdc and is capable of driving two low-power TTL loads or one low-power Schottky TTL load. It features diode protection on all inputs and is fully static, allowing for exceedingly slow input transition rates. The device is AEC-Q100 qualified, making it suitable for automotive applications, and is Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
