The HCPL2531M is a dual-channel, 8-pin dual in-line package high-speed transistor optocoupler with an AlGaAs LED optically coupled to a high-speed photodetector transistor. It supports a data rate of 1 MBit/s and guarantees current transfer ratio from 0°C to 70°C. The device features no base connection for improved noise immunity and provides a common mode transient immunity of at least 10,000 V/μs. It meets UL1577 with a 5,000 VAC RMS isolation rating for one minute and complies with DIN EN/IEC60747-5-5. External creepage is ≥8.0 mm and clearance is ≥7.4 mm. The case temperature maximum is 150°C and input current is limited to 200 mA. Propagation delay is 0.18 µs to logic high and 0.4 µs to logic low under specified conditions.
