The DS2502S is a 1Kb add-only memory device designed for traceability and data storage applications. It features a unique 64-bit ROM ID, which includes a factory-lasered serial number, ensuring absolute traceability. The memory is organized into four 256-bit pages, allowing for random access and the ability to permanently write-protect each page to prevent tampering. The device supports programming without disturbing existing data, enabling additional data to be appended. Communication is facilitated through a minimalist 1-Wire interface, which simplifies connections by requiring only a single data pin and ground. The DS2502S operates over a voltage range of 2.8V to 6.0V and can function in temperatures from -40¬8C to +85¬8C. It requires no standby power and programs at voltages between 11.5V and 12.0V. The device is available in various package types, including an 8-pin SOIC, making it suitable for a range of applications such as asset tracking, maintenance records, and calibration constants.
