Operating at 90ppm, regardless of media weight, the Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition is the printer-only version. This next generation color production system is built on many of the proven and reliable technologies found in its predecessor, the Pro C900, but offers significant improvements in many areas - notably output quality, media handling and reliability. The Ricoh Pro C901 also shares many hardware and finishing capabilities with the Pro 907EX/1107EX/1357EX Series. The maximum media weight is still 300 gsm (out of the 13" x 19" LCT), but maximum duplex weight has increased to 300 gsm, from 220 gsm on the C900 series. This model is targeted at the mid range of the color production space, typically between 75,000 to 250,000 pages per month. The Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition with the optional Fiery E-41 print controller is recommended to customers with print-only workflows and relatively straightforward job and/or color management requirements. The E-41 controller supports EFI's latest OS, Fiery System 9 Release 2, to provide powerful job controls such as the Graphic Arts Package and SeeQuence Impose. Recommend stepping up to the more robust Fiery E-81 controller (also running Fiery System 9 Release 2) to print-only environments with greater data processing needs to support multitasking (RIPing one job while processing a second while printing a third) as well as more sophisticated applications such as variable data printing, complex document assembly, and precise color matching/simulation needs.
