The RT9535 is a high-efficiency PWM switch mode battery charger controller designed for fast charging of single or multiple Li-Ion, NiMH, and NiCd batteries. It supports adjustable battery voltages ranging from 2.5V to 22V with a precision of 0.5% for charging voltage accuracy. The maximum charging current can be programmed using an external resistor, and the device operates with a high efficiency of up to 95%. Key features include a third control loop that limits input current from the adapter, allowing for simultaneous operation of the equipment while charging, and a logic output that indicates when the Li-Ion battery is fully charged. The RT9535 has a dropout voltage as low as 0.4V and a switching frequency of 500kHz. It also includes an auto shutdown feature when the adapter is removed and maintains a low reverse current of only 10µA when idle.
