The MK5812STR is a low EMI clock generator designed to produce a dithered output clock from a clock or crystal input, effectively reducing electromagnetic interference in consumer applications. It utilizes a combination of analog and digital Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) technology to spread the frequency spectrum of the output, achieving peak reduction of 8 dB to 16 dB on odd harmonics from the 3rd to the 19th. The device features a fixed 2x frequency multiplication, with an input frequency range of 4 to 32 MHz and an output frequency range of 8 to 64 MHz. The MK5812STR is packaged in an 8-pin SOIC and supports both centered and down spread configurations. It operates at a voltage of 3.3 V and includes a power-down feature.
