The ISL97635AIRZ-T is a 6-channel LED driver designed for applications such as notebook displays, LCD monitors, and automotive lighting. It operates with an input voltage range of 6V to 24V and can drive up to 54 LEDs at 30mA or 60 LEDs at 20mA per channel, with a maximum output voltage of 34.5V. The device features ±1% current matching for improved LED uniformity and includes dynamic headroom control to optimize power efficiency. Dimming capabilities are versatile, supporting SMBus 8-bit PWM and DC current control, as well as external PWM inputs up to 20kHz. The ISL97635AIRZ-T incorporates multiple protection features, including string open and short-circuit detection, over-temperature and overvoltage protection, and input overcurrent protection with a disconnect switch. It operates at selectable switching frequencies of 600kHz or 1.2MHz and is housed in a compact 24-lead QFN package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs.
