The ISL6252HRZ is a highly integrated battery charger controller designed for Li-ion and Li-ion polymer batteries, specifically suitable for notebook computers. It utilizes a synchronous buck topology to achieve high efficiency, with a low side MOSFET that emulates a diode at light loads to enhance efficiency and prevent system bus boosting. The device supports a constant output voltage that can be configured for 2, 3, or 4 series Li-ion cells with an accuracy of ¬±0.5% over temperature. The charging current limit and input current limit for the AC adapter are programmable, allowing for precise control and efficient use of available power. The input voltage range is from 7V to 25V, and it features a wide range of programmable charging currents.
