The ISL6141IBZA is an 8-pin negative voltage hot plug controller designed for safe insertion and removal of boards from a live backplane, operating within a voltage range of -20V to -80V, with an absolute maximum rating of -100V. It features programmable inrush current control, over-voltage protection, and under-voltage protection, ensuring system integrity during operation. The device includes an IntelliTrip,Ñ¢ electronic circuit breaker that distinguishes between over-current and hard fault conditions, providing a 600¬µs current limit before shutting down the FET. A fast shutdown mechanism is activated for hard faults, allowing for a single retry with a soft-start feature. The ISL6141IBZA also provides a power good (PWRGD) output that indicates when the system is operating normally, with the output being active low. This controller is suitable for applications in VoIP servers, telecom systems, and negative power supply control. It is available in a RoHS-compliant 8-lead SOIC package and operates within a temperature range of -40¬8C to 85¬8C.
