The ICL7136CPL is a low power, high-performance 31/2 digit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter designed for interfacing with liquid crystal displays (LCDs). It integrates seven segment decoders, display drivers, a reference, and a clock, making it suitable for applications requiring compact and efficient designs. The device features true differential inputs and reference, which are advantageous for measuring load cells and strain gauges. It offers an auto-zero capability to less than 10¬µV, zero drift of less than 1¬µV/¬8C, and a maximum input bias current of 10pA. The ICL7136CPL ensures first reading overrange recovery within one conversion period and guarantees a zero reading for a 0V input across all scales. It operates on a single power supply and requires only 10 passive components for implementation, making it cost-effective for high-performance panel meters.
