The IDT82V2048S is an octal T1/E1 short haul line interface unit designed for telecommunications applications. It supports 100 Oc T1 twisted pair, 120 Oc E1 twisted pair, and 75 Oc E1 coaxial configurations, making it versatile for various transmission media. The device features selectable Single Rail or Dual Rail modes and supports AMI or B8ZS/HDB3 encoding/decoding. It includes built-in transmit pre-equalization and a jitter attenuator that meets multiple industry specifications, ensuring reliable performance. This transceiver integrates eight transmitters and receivers, with programmable options for clock and data recovery using a digital phase-locked loop. It also offers loopback testing capabilities and JTAG boundary scan for board testing.
