The IDT72225LB is a high-speed, low-power synchronous FIFO memory with a capacity of 1,024 x 18 bits. It features a 10 ns read/write cycle time and supports both asynchronous and coincident read and write clocks. The FIFO includes fixed flags for Empty and Full status, as well as programmable Almost-Empty and Almost-Full flags, enhancing its usability in various data buffering applications such as optical disk controllers and Local Area Networks (LANs). The device is designed for easy expansion in depth and width, utilizing a daisy-chain technique.
