The 460ASC-N2E-DW is an ASCII to Siemens S7 PLC gateway designed to facilitate communication between serial ASCII devices and up to five Siemens S7 PLCs. It supports bidirectional data transmission, allowing for up to 150 read and 150 write requests per connection. The device can parse ASCII data into up to 50 segments using delimiters or offsets and can concatenate these segments into a single string. Configuration is simplified through a browser-based interface, eliminating the need for additional programming software. The gateway can automatically handle incoming delimiters and add outgoing ones as configured. It operates within a voltage range of 12-24 VDC and has a maximum baud rate of 115K. The operating temperature range is from -40¬8C to 85¬8C, making it suitable for various industrial environments. Included with the gateway are a power cable, a CAT5 crossover cable for direct PC connection, and access to unlimited firmware upgrades and support. The product is housed in an anodized aluminum enclosure suitable for din rail or panel mounting and comes with a 5-year hardware warranty.
