Application Ralston’s FSSD Series was especially developed for housing electrical and/or electronic apparatus in all their applications, where because of corrosion, fiberglass enclosures offer greater advantages than traditional sheet steel types. With the FSSD Series, it is possible to use an enclosure with high resistance to corrosion, thus obtaining better long-term results. Especially recommended for installation in all environments, indoors and outdoors in which dust, humidity, presence of acids, extreme conditions such as snow, ice, tropical climate ect, make the use of fiberglass more advantageous. Construction All FSSD Series enclosures are molded from fiberglass with a fire retardant resin, marine grade gel-coat with UV inhibitors. All FSSD series are equipped with 3/8 metal collar studs for optional mounting inner panels. An EPDM rubber gasket with spring steel self-gripping core is applied to the molded lip around the door opening ensuring an optimum seal when the door is closed. Doors are mounted with a stainless steel continuous hinge, and secured closed with a stainless steel padlockable 3 point vault handle.
